Monitoring
Features
|
| |
 |
Monitor
key services |
| |
Web service monitoring allows
you to monitor key Windows,
IIS & web related services running on the local server
with ease. In addition, custom services can also be added,
monitored & automatically restarted.
|
 |
Ensure
web site & web-page access is available |
| |
The web site monitor allows you to
monitor the availability of key web pages on your server,
checking that the correct page is delivered and returned
in a timely manner. In effect, it acts like an automated
web browser.
|
 |
Ensure
FTP site & remote file access is available |
| |
In the same way that the above
check verifies web pages, the FTP server monitor automates an FTP
client, allowing you to check that FTP access &
operations are available in a timely manner.
|
 |
Check
TCP/IP Ports are available |
| |
The internet port monitor allows you to
ensure that key or custom TCP/IP ports are listening for
requests on the server - e.g. HTTP, HTTPS,
FTP access etc.
|
 |
Verify
IIS, ASP & Web Service Performance |
| |
Monitor your IIS Web server
performance and ensure key performance
parameters are within expected limits - e.g. no. ASP requests & sessions,
ASP wait time, web connections, script errors, not found errors
etc. Custom performance counters can also be added
and monitored.
|
 |
Monitor
errors written to the Windows Event Log |
| |
Sentry-go allows you to monitor
messages written to the Windows Event Logs based on error
type, event ID, source or keywords & phrases within
the text.
|
 |
Monitor
messages written to the IIS Log File |
| |
This option allows you to
monitor the primary IIS log file - which can be used to
track page & file delivery, as well as HTTP errors
returned in response to client requests - highlighting
broken links etc. Other custom log files can also be
monitored - see below.
|
 |
Monitor
messages written to custom log files |
| |
In addition to Event Logs, you
can also monitor the entries written to text-based log
files such as those used for custom applications, based on
keywords or phrases within the text.
|
 |
Ensure
sufficient disk space is available |
| |
To run efficiently, your
Windows & Exchange server needs adequate free disk
space. Sentry-go can check this for you, clearing down
temporary files automatically if free space becomes
limited. |
