In addition to monitoring & alerting,
Sentry-go monitors also allow you to access monitored information,
alerts & dynamic reports direct from your desktop web browser,
without the need for 3rd party web server software or configuration.
Using the fully-integrated web server, you can simply enter the
appropriate URL to connect to & display all reports generated by
the monitor(s) installed on the server.
System
Requirements
No additional web server software is
required. To access a report, you can use any standard web browser,
although we recommend ...
Security
The integrated web server is dedicated purely
to generating the reports provided by the underlying monitor. As
such, custom scripts & other vulnerabilities should not affect
it in the same way a standard web server would be. However, in
addition, a number of security features are provided for added
protection ...
-
Web reports can be enabled or
disabled independently of the Monitor itself (the Monitor must be running in order to connect to & display web
reports). Web reports can be disabled while the monitor
continues to function & alert etc.
-
The Virtual Command session report
can be disabled independently of other reports.
-
Some or all reports can be
password protected, requiring the user to logon before the
report is available.
-
Access can be limited to specific
IP addresses or ranges of IP addresses.
Home Page
When installed, the Quick Monitor will create
a home page, allowing you to easily access the available reports. If
other monitors are installed on the same server, the existing home
page is updated, allowing you to access all available reports from
each monitor via a single page.

Standard
Reports
The following reports come as standard with
most Sentry-go Quick Monitors
-
Recent Errors/Alerts
When the Monitor triggers an alert,
action is either taken automatically and/or one or more Administrators are notified. However, if
you miss an alert or network message or are
not being notified about a specific alert level, you may not see one or
more alerts generated by Sentry-go.
The Recent Errors Report gives you access to the most recent errors
that have been detected and the alerts triggered. It also provides an ideal way of checking a group of problems or
to see if a chain of events is building up.

-
Current
Status
This report gives details of all
currently monitored items and their current or last known status. It
is an ideal way of checking to see whether a previous problem has
been resolved as well as the latest known values in real or near
real-time.
By connecting directly to the monitoring engine, you can easily
see the current status of the server, software & all
monitored values.

-
Performance
The Performance Report allows you to
view recorded performance counter information over a given period of
time.
It is colour coded allowing you to easily pinpoint values that have
exceeded the given threshold configured for that check.
