Recent Updates
| March '07 |
- Fix. Blocked SQL queries now correctly terminates
blocked/blocking processes only after the wait timeout has
been exceeded. Previously it was possible for the monitor
to terminate the process prematurely.
- Fix. If an event log message contained 2 or more
duplicate parameters, the Quick Monitor may fail with a
buffer overflow. This issue has now been corrected.
- Fix. If an ODBC data source name of the maximum 32
characters was defined, the Configuration Utility would
fail to read it and subsequent entries. This has now been
resolved.
- Fix. SQL Server blocked locks were not alerted correctly
following initial Setup. Alerts were only raised if the
Configuration Utility had been run and changes made &
saved from the "Locking" tab. This issue has now
been resolved in the Quick SQL Server Monitor Setup
Wizard.
- Fix. Quick Monitor Setup Wizard now correctly registers
disk drives & all associated settings.
- New "Runtime Activity" features added to the
Quick Monitor Console, allowing you to connect directly to
the Quick Monitor and show both monitoring & alerting
activity as it's performed, in near real-time.
- The Console now allows monitor's to be manually defined.
- You can now edit the registered port no. of a monitor
from within the Console.
- You can now dynamically access the day no. (DN) and day
string literal (DC) using the new place-markers <$$DN> and
<$$DC> etc.
- Invalid (or unavailable) place-markers are now replaced
by "[not defined]" text when expanded by the
Quick Monitor & Alert Engine.
- New home page layout for Quick Monitor web reports.
- "Last checked" time is now displayed on Quick
Monitor Current Status web reports.
- E-mail alerts that fail to send are automatically
retried periodically.
- Individual e-mail addresses can now have their own SMTP
server & port, in addition to the default SMTP server.
